Salt Lake City woman struck and killed by car after an argument about a TV show

Victim went outside after arguing with her boyfriend.

A Salt Lake City woman was struck and killed by a car Wednesday night after an argument with her boyfriend about a television show.

The woman, who was in her 20s, was hit near 1000 North and 900 West about 11:10 p.m., according to police. The car that struck her drove away but returned a short time later, and the driver is cooperating with the investigation.

According to police, the victim’s boyfriend told them he had argued with the woman about a TV show they were watching. The woman, whose name has not been released, went outside. The boyfriend said he heard a crash, went outside and found his girlfriend in the street.

The victim died at the scene. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
