The switch has been flipped.

Not long ago, photos of colorful fall foliage filled the Utah-centric social media streams. Not anymore. They’ve been replaced by snow-covered peaks, and that’s just for starters. Resorts got a little more with these last couple storms, and temperatures have been cool enough for them to start firing up the snowmaking machines.

That can only mean one thing: It’s time to get serious about ski and snowboard season. The season is, after all, just one week away at many ski areas.

With that in mind, we’ve created this poll. Some might say it’s longer than the Grizzly run at Snowbasin, but feel free to cherry pick the questions you feel most strongly about. There are no red boundary lines to keep you from taking a shortcut to the bottom here.

Then again, stick it out and it might just help you focus on the adventures ahead and the steps you need to start taking now to squeeze the most satisfaction possible out of this winter.
