Letter: Does Trump care more about a cover-up than murder?

(Hasan Jamali | The Associated Press) In this Dec. 15, 2014, file photo, Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi speaks during a press conference in Manama, Bahrain. President Donald Trump says the U.S. will not levy additional punitive measures at this time against Saudi Arabia over the killing of Jamal Khashoggi.

Does Trump care more about a cover-up than murder?

What does it say about the moral compass of our president that he is more concerned about the botched cover-up, “one of the worst cover-ups in the history of cover-ups,” of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi than he appears to be over the man's assassination itself? The execution of the plan produced a stronger response than the execution of the man. It says a lot more about Trump than he seems to realize.
