Zion National Park reopens The Narrows, Riverside Walk after falling rocks injure a hiker

Zion National Park reopened The Narrows and the Riverside Walk on Thursday morning, a day after a woman was injured by falling rocks in the popular hiking area.
The woman, whose name has not been released, had just left the Riverside Walk and started on The Narrows trail when several “cobble-sized blocks” of stone fell from the walls of the canyon, according to park spokeswoman Amanda Rowland. It’s believed the rocks may have fallen as much as 480 feet.
The woman was hit in the legs by one of the stones. She was taken to a hospital to be treated; her injuries were not seen as life-threatening.
