Public health whistleblower, ‘Joan of Arc’ of China’s HIV crisis, dies in Utah

Wang in 1995 exposed egregious practices that spread HIV and hepatitis in for-profit blood and plasma centers in rural China. She moved to the United States amid retaliation.
